about

Hey, I’m Sherah. I started this microblog as an experiment to see how far I can take a project to write, slow down, observe, and document.

I have this idea that someday I’ll probably go senile, and I thought it might be kind of fun to have a site dedicated to detailing, enjoying, processing, and understanding my life and the enormous shifts constantly happening in and around me at this point in time.

I also wanted to have a place to connect with others through posting about my insights, beliefs, theories, and ideas as I experience my day-to-day. (So, be my friend?!)

Like many people before me, I have reached the part of life in which we tend to realize that I am experiencing a midlife crisis…

A midlife crisis is a period of emotional turmoil and self-reflection occurring roughly between ages 40 and 60, characterized by an intense desire for change due to feelings of mortality, boredom, or dissatisfaction. It often involves questioning life accomplishments and, in some cases, impulsively altering careers, relationships, or lifestyles to recapture youth.

…and I suppose my answer to that is (so far!) not to blow up my life, but to slow it down and look at every small thing closely. In this way, we can actually slow down the passage of (the perception of) time, and find meaning.

I started this blog in February 2026.
